THEY SAID IT: "This continual erring by referees is eroding the whole credibility of the league." - Former Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Bosnich takes aim at the officiating after a handful of contentious decisions over round 14, including a controversial red card for Newcastle defender Jason Hoffman in their 1-0 defeat to Sydney FC on Saturday.

MAN OF THE ROUND: Wellington star Roy Krishna became the first player in A-League history to score three consecutive braces when he doubled up in the Phoenix's 3-3 draw with Melbourne Victory on Sunday.

STAT ATTACK: Western Sydney's 2-1 defeat to Adelaide extended their losing run to five games - their worst losing streak in a single season in club history. The only other time they lost five in a row was across the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, which included a grand final defeat.

TALKING POINT: Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat has begun a campaign to see the game continue on when players go down with cramp, saying football was the only sport that delayed play because of a player's poor physical condition. "It's gotta stop. If we can outrun a team, I don't understand why the advantage gets taken away from you," he said.

UNDER PRESSURE: With Brisbane's winless run stretching to a tenth game in Sunday's draw with lowly Central Coast, the Roar are set to begin interviewing prospective new coaches after unveiling their selection panel on Saturday.

INJURY WARD: Sydney FC: Jacob Tratt (groin), Milos Ninkovic (illness), Paulo Retre (groin); Central Coast: Tommy Oar (hamstring), Jake McGing (leg).

WHAT'S NEXT: Melbourne City and Western Sydney kick things off on Tuesday, before Wellington hosts Sydney FC in what shapes as the headline act of all the midweek games in round 15. The Nix-Sky Blues clash is the start of a triple-header involving the F3 derby, and then top-six combatants Perth and Adelaide in the late clash. Brisbane and Melbourne Victory get to rest for the weekend.
