Norwegian striker Kristian Opseth has joined A-League club Adelaide United.

Adelaide United have signed a Norwegian striker for the looming A-League season.

Kristian Opseth, a 29-year-old who most recently played in Turkey's Super Lig, is the third fresh signing of new United coach Gertjan Verbeek, following Riley McGree and Michael Maria.

"Not only is Kristian a quality target man and a strong aerial threat, he is a great finisher," United's football director Bruce Djite said on Wednesday.
