Former Ireland international Andy Keogh has joined Perth Glory for a third stint at the A-League club - and this time it will be as an Australian.

Keogh is the club's all-time record A-League scorer with 55 goals in 122 appearances.

The 34-year-old last played for the club in 2019 - when he was surprisingly named on the bench for the grand final loss to Sydney - before taking up a deal in Saudi Arabia.

Keogh is due to become an Australian citizen next month, and his arrival is a massive boost to a Glory team that had dwindled to just 12 contracted players.

"I really want to help the people I care about to move the club forward," Keogh said.

"I'm an experienced player and I'm confident that I can contribute both in terms of helping the team and also assisting the young players that we have with their development.

"This is about helping a club that I care about and I'm looking forward to what I'm sure will be a successful season."

Midfielder Brandon Wilson has also returned to Glory after spending the second half of last season with Wellington Phoenix.

The 23-year-old made 45 appearances for Glory before adding another four with the Phoenix.

New coach Richard Garcia, who has taken over from the departed Tony Popovic, is excited about what both players will bring.

"Andy is a fantastic player who is passionate about Perth Glory and he's made a number of sacrifices in order to return," Garcia said.

"He wants the best for the club, we know what he brings to the side and the kind of character he is and we're delighted to have him back on board.

"Brandon is another player who loves the club and is a young Perth talent with plenty to offer.

"He's very versatile and exactly the kind of player and person we want in the squad to help drive the club forward."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
