Central Coast teenager Alou Kuol continues to impress this A-League season after scoring a brace against Western United.

Central Coast coach Alen Stajcic says teenage sensation Alou Kuol has a long career ahead of him after he scored his fifth goal in just seven A-League games.

The 19-year-old was brought to the club from Shepparton in country Victoria and he has slotted in confidently to start the season with the Mariners and starred in their 3-2 win over Western United.

But even after he banged in two goals in four minutes to put the Mariners on the top of the ladder with their second-straight comeback win, Stajcic was still conservative with his praise.

"Alou is only a year into his senior football experience so this is just the beginning for him," Stajcic said on Sunday night.

"A lot more to learn, a lot more to gain experience with and this is just the beginning of the journey for him.

"I'm not getting carried away, he's had an amazing start to the season, he's full of beans, he's charismatic, he's the glue in the team in terms of his personality but there's such a long way to go for him and we're here to ride those highs and lows with him."

For the second game in a row, Kuol was used as an attacking weapon from the bench, injecting energy late in the match to seal the comeback win.

On Sunday night, Kuol was subbed on in the 61st minute with the Mariners trailing United 2-1, only to score the equaliser and the winner in the 77th and 81st minutes.

It brought his tally for the season up to five goals from seven games and puts him firmly on the radar for an Olympic berth in Tokyo with the Olyroos.
