Sydney FC icon Bobo's second A-League stint will begin in Saturday's home match against Brisbane at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

The Sky Blues have confirmed the Brazilian forward, who scored 52 goals in just 71 appearances in his previous stint at the club, will be in the team to face the Roar.

The 36-year-old returned to Sydney in January after three years away from the club but has yet to feature following a quarantine period and a lack of conditioning.

Having scored in an in-house friendly match last weekend, Bobo has been given the all-clear to make his playing return.

"It has been a long wait but I feel fit and ready," said Bobo, who scored a record 27 goals in 27 matches in the 2017-18 season.

"Since leaving Australia in 2018, I have never forgotten the fans here and how they've always backed our club, and it will be a pleasure to play in front of them once more."

Sydney coach Steve Corica said it was exciting a fans' favourite will get to make his return in front of a home crowd.

"We are looking forward to getting back to playing again having missed out this week due to the postponed matches, so I'm sure many people, like me, are excited to see the boys in action again," Corica said.
