The A-League fixture between Perth and Melbourne City on Saturday is almost certain to be postponed with Glory still in quarantine in Western Australia.

Saturday's A-League match between Perth Glory and Melbourne City is set to be the latest fixture to be postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

City are scheduled to travel west for the match at nib Stadium but Glory chief executive Tony Pignata said the game is almost certain to be delayed with the team undertaking a 14-day quarantine period.

Glory played three matches in Victoria against Western United, Melbourne Victory and City in late January and early February before facing Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium on February 5.

With Victoria listed as a "medium risk" state by WA authorities, all arrivals to the state who have been in Victoria have to go into a mandatory 14-day home self-isolation period.

"There will be no game this week but stay excited we should get some home games soon," Pignata tweeted.

Perth have played just five matches this season after the start to their campaign was delayed by their return from the Asian Champions League, with just one of those fixtures being played at home.

The snap five-day lockdown announced last Friday by the Victorian government has already created issues with last weekend's games between Western United and Sydney FC and City's trip to face Western Sydney Wanderers postponed.

City's home match against Sydney, which was scheduled for Tuesday at AAMI Park, has been pushed back by a week while Victory's home clash against Wellington, originally slated for Wednesday, has also been delayed by seven days.

City's visit to Perth isn't likely to be the only match affected this weekend with uncertainlty hanging over Western United's match against Macarthur FC in Ballarat on Saturday and Sunday's game between Victory and Newcastle.

Pignata said final decisions on fixtures should be made within the next 24 to 48 hours.
