Perth Glory have replenished their attacking stocks with the signing of former La Liga striker Adrian Sardinero for the next two A-League seasons.

Sardinero played for Spanish outfit Getafe early in his career, and more recently plied his trade with Greek top-flight side OFI Crete.

The 30-year-old Spaniard's arrival helps offset the loss of Chris Ikonomidis and Nicholas D'Agostino, who both signed with Melbourne Victory.

The future of Glory captain Diego Castro remains up in the air.

Sardinero featured regularly in the UEFA Europa League, scoring against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Olympique Lyon.

Having made 32 appearances in all competitions for OFI Crete last season, scoring seven goals and contributing three assists, Sardinero is looking forward to starting a new chapter in Australia.

"I'm very excited about this new challenge and can't wait to get to Perth and meet my new team," he said.

Glory coach Richard Garcia is confident Sardinero's qualities will enable him to become a key figure for the club in the coming seasons.

"Adrian is a very adaptable forward who can play in several positions, either out wide, up front, or just behind the strikers," he said.

"He's very direct, has a good goalscoring record and provides great delivery from wide areas.

"He has been playing consistently at a high level in Europe for the past decade and will add more experience and quality to the squad."

Sardinero fills the import spot left by German defender Sebastian Langkamp, who managed just two games last season.
