Inter into final after Milan derby win

3 minute read

Inter Milan have won a Coppa Italia version of the derby of San Siro defeating AC Milan 3-0 in the semi-final second leg to reach the final.

Inter Milan have taken a huge step towards achieving the league and cup double in Italy defeating city rivals AC Milan 3-0 in the second leg of the Coppa Italia to record an aggregate victory by the same score.

Milan lead Serie A by two points but Inter have a game in hand - and the momentum as well.

Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez converted two sharp finishes at the beginning and end of the first half to put Inter in charge.

Milan thought they had halved the deficit through Ismael Bennacer soon after the hour but his 'goal' was disallowed for offside by Pierre Kalala.

Robin Goosens then scored a third goal from Marcelo Brozovic's pass with eight minutes left to settle the tie.

Inter will meet Juventus of Fiorentina, who play their second leg on Wednesday in Turin. Juventus have a 1-0 first-leg lead.
