Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas have brushed aside Miomir Kecmanovic and Mikael Ymer to reach the fourth round at Roland Garros.

Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas wasted little time in reaching the fourth round at Roland Garros, surrendering a mere 13 games between them.

Medvedev, the No.2 seed, cruised past Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia 6-2 6-4 6-2 in less than two hours.

Tsitsipas, seeded No.4, was even more brutal, wrapping up a 6-2 6-2 6-1 victory over Sweden's Mikael Ymer in an hour and 32 minutes

Medvedev, the US Open champion, played near-flawless service games throughout to give his opponent, ranked 31st in the world, no real chance.

"It was magnificent today; I did not have my serve broken," said Medvedev, who was also runner-up at the Australian Open this season.

"On this surface it is quite unusual. Hopefully there are more such matches for me next week."

He now faces Croatia's Marin Cilic, who beat Gilles Simon 6-0 6-3 6-2.

It was the Frenchman's final Roland Garros tournament. Now 37, Simon will retire at the end of the season..

Tsitsipas was clinical with his service, facing just a single break pointand losing only 10 points on his serve.

"It was a good game for myself. I think I played really well and topped it off with some pretty good, patient tennis," he said.

Tsitsipas used his forehand to great effect to pin Ymer behind the baseline and broke his opponent's serve twice in each of the first two sets and another three times in the third.

He will face Denmark's Holger Rune, who beat France's Hugo Gaston 6-3 6-3 6-3.

Hubert Hurkacz, the No.12 seed, reached the fourth round for the first time with an impressive 7-5 6-2 6-1 win over David Goffin.
