Priscilla Hon's Australian Open is over following a straight-sets second-round loss to former world No.1 Angelique Kerber.

The Australian wildcard went down 6-3 6-2 to Germany's three-time grand slam champion on Thursday.

Despite the defeat, 21-year-old Hon will leave Melbourne Park with the biggest cheque of her career after pocketing $128,000 after winning her first-ever main-draw match at the Open.
