The American fought back from a break down in the second set to round out a superb victory and qualify for her first grand slam final.

STAT OF THE DAY: Max Purcell and Luke Saville became the first all-Australian pair to qualify for the men's doubles final in 22 years - and can become the first to win it in 23 years - since Mark Woodfoorde and Todd Woodbridge triumphed back in 1997, if they are triumphant on Sunday.
