John Millman has made a fine start on his quest to lift another title on the ATP's European circuit, beating Bulgarian teenager Adrian Andreev 6-3 6-1 in the Sofia Open.

Sixth seed Millman, who was buoyed by his recent victory in the Astana Open - his first ATP triumph in a 12-year professional career - is being joined in Sofia by follow Aussie Alex de Minaur.

The 31-year-old Millman had no problems successfully negotiating his first hurdle against the 19-year-old Andreev, who is ranked 663 in the world.

He raced through the one-sided affair in an hour and a quarter, breaking the teenager's serve four times while not giving up a break point on his own rock-steady delivery.
