Ajla Tomljanovic has qualified for the last 16 of the WTA tournament in Belgrade after defeating Ivana Jorovic in straight sets.

Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic is through to the last 16 of the WTA tournament in Belgrade after beating wildcard Ivana Jorovic in straight sets.

The world No.76 broke the Serbian's serve five times en route to a 6-4 6-3 victory.

Tomljanovic will now meet the winner of Nina Stojanovic and No.7 seed Rebecca Peterson for a place in the quarter-finals.

Bulgaria's Viktoriya Tomova also advanced, beating Serbian Lola Radivojevic 6-2 6-3.

Top seed Yulia Putintseva, who beat J Juvan 4-6 6-2 6-1, is in the bottom half of the draw.

Putintseva will meet the winner of Croatia's Ana Konjuh and Alison van Uytvanck in the round of 16.
