Alex Bolt has advanced to the round of 16 at the ATP 250 event in Los Cabos with a come-from-behind win over seventh-seeded Andreas Seppi.
Australian Bolt recovered from losing the first seven games of the match to record a 0-6 6-2 6-3 victory in one hour 38 minutes.
The world No.148 was dismantled in the opening set as Italian veteran Seppi broke serve at will, converting on all three of his opportunities before closing out the opener in just 24 minutes.
Bolt was broken in the first game of the second as the 37-year-old Seppi took total control.
However, the momentum shifted in Bolt's favour with the South Australian breaking serve immediately as he won seven of eight games to level the match at a set apiece and then take the lead for the first time.
Bolt broke in the sixth game of the final set, converting on his fourth opportunity, before both players then dropped their serve again.
Bolt served out the match on his first match point with the 28-year-old to meet Emilio Gomez or qualifier Nicolas Mejia, who are both ranked below him, next.
