The Cambridgeshire meeting at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile continues on Friday, with three Group races including the 7f Group 2 Rockfel Stakes.

The admirable Chindit showed guts and determination to prevail narrowly in the Listed Chasemore Farm Fortune Stakes at Sandown on Wednesday afternoon.

Sandown plays host to a competitive card of racing on Wednesday, including one of two Listed races in the UK – the Fortune Stakes over a mile.

Chindit enhanced his stallion credentials with an easy victory in the Group 3 Superior Mile Stakes at Haydock Park on Saturday. The five-year-old was purchased in July by Dr Cyrus Poonawalla and will stand at stud in India once his racing career has finished.
