Australian-breds made a clean sweep of the Group One double at Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Sunday.

John Size has tried harder than most in recent times to prise Japan’s premier summer mile contest, the G1 Yasuda Kinen, from the home contingent’s vice-tight grip.

Maurice and Contentment, first and second in the G1 Champions Mile at Sha Tin a month ago, stretched their legs at Tokyo racecourse this morning, Thursday 2 June, ahead of a return clash in Japan’s premier summer mile test, Sunday’s G1 Yasuda Kinen.

The Yasuda Kinen, the final G1 race of the five consecutive weeks of top level action at Tokyo racecourse will be run on Sunday.

Australian-trained duo Suavito and Bow Creek have secured invitations to Hong Kong for the 2016 Champions Mile.
