Country Championship qualifier Sky Call is staying home for her final lead-up to the $500,000 final at Randwick on April 4.

The coronavirus emergency has forced several high-profile Sydney jockeys to cancel their plans to ride on the second day of the Albury carnival on Friday, featuring the $200,000 Albury Gold Cup.

High profile trainers Peter Snowden and Bjorn Baker will take a break from their hectic autumn carnival preparations to add their weight to the launch of the 2020 Albury Gold Cup  Carnival.

Racing at Albury will be suspended for six weeks to allow for drainage rectification work on the course proper.

Glamour jockeys Glen Boss and Jim Cassidy will break from their Sydney autumn carnival commitments to ride at Friday's rich Albury Gold Cup meeting.
