The two Willie Mullins-trained Melbourne Cup contenders Vauban and Absurde have fared positively in the Lexus Melbourne Cup draw, with the former drawn in stall three and the latter in stall eight.

Irish contenders Vauban and Absurde have had a look at Flemington ahead of the Melbourne Cup.

A total of 132 horses, including 15 international gallopers, have been entered for the Melbourne Cup.
