Cambridge trainer Stephen Marsh may not be competing for the A$5million on offer in the inaugural All Star Mile (1600m) at Flemington on Saturday, but he is hoping stable runner Starrybeel can win a sizeable cheque for his connections on the undercard.

Savabeel gelding Starrybeel picked up the biggest win of his career at Ellerslie on Tuesday when taking out the Dunstan Feed Stayers Championship Final (2200m).

Starrybeel and King’s Cross emerged on Saturday as exciting replacements to help fill the void in Stephen Marsh’s stable with the loss of his top-rated horses.
