The Rosehill Timeform recap featuring a race by race overview of key performers and ones to watch from the Rosehill meeting on July 13.
The meeting opened with a two-year-old handicap where promising colts Spend and True Detective ran the quinella.
While Winter Stakes Day was for the most part a genuine offseason meeting, Spend and True Detective will likely be seen contesting stakes races as early as next month.
Agent Pippa ran her rivals ragged in the 1100m Fillies and Mares Benchmark 78 Handicap and could prove to be the fit mare on the scene in early spring races such as the Group 3 Toy Show Quality (1100m).
Eckstein’s race career is winding down in winning fashion, edging out Gaulois in the Winter Stakes (1400m).
Her swansong prior to broodmare duties is expected to be in the Listed Winter Challenge (1500m) at Rosehill on July 27, likely against a number of the same rivals she accounted for on Saturday.
