Unbeaten in two starts the daughter of I Am Invincible has made quite the impression, having dug dip to win on debut.

Sent out the $1.40 favourite, Bright Diamond only won narrowly, but did a good job to hold off subsequent winner She's Enchanted.

Stepped up to 1200m at her next start, Bright Diamond displayed her versatility when ridden cold from the wide draw.

At the tail of the field coming into the straight, Pike pulled Bright Diamond to the outside, letting rip inside the 300m.

Sweeping to the front passing the 100m, she did too well for Lindsey Smith trained Puckapunyal, scoring by half a length.

Again only a narrow margin, however her closing splits were top drawer.

Returning a Timeform rating of 82, we can infer from her closing sectionals that she has the talent of a horse beyond that figure with a rating in the mid 90s likely to better do her justice.

To illustrate just how fast she finished, she ran the second half of the race ~36L faster than the first half.

Of course the first half is from a standing start, however it still highlights how impressive her close was.

It seems to be racing's obsession to compare horses within a stable, so let's jump on board.

Do you know who else ran similar figures after two starts? You guessed it - Arcadia Queen.

The key difference being Bright Diamond is virtually six months behind Arcadia Queen at the same point.

By the time Arcadian Queen was a rising 4YO, she had already won the Kingston Town Classic and was rated 121 by Timeform.

Bright Diamond certainly has some ground to make up and has the age curve against, however that adjusted figure of >95 can make us some money in the coming months.

Unfortunately there aren't any markets as to whether Bright Diamond will become a stakes winner, but if there was, I'd be surprised if you didn't collect.

This is obviously no exact science, but to achieve what she has in two starts, if able to continue that upward spiral, she should end her career rated >100 and if that is the case, she will likely be a stakes winner.
