Royal Marine – Meydan 15:40

Royal Marine looked Classic material when winning the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp when last seen, and is by a sire whose offspring have a good record on the Meydan dirt, so is the obvious selection. The unbeaten Walking Thunder and Faith And Fortune, who starts out for Mike de Kock, are the dangers.

Major Partnership – Meydan 16:15

Major Partnership blew his rivals away in a Tapeta handicap when last seen in Britain and looks a smart sprinter to follow on these shores for Godolphin. Alfredo Arcano is a progressive European raider to take seriously, while the South African-runner Mujaafy remains with potential if all is well back from a year off.

King’s Field – Meydan 18:00

King's Field improved at a rate of knots during the second half of 2018, signing off with a comfortable victory at Dundalk in December. Effective on turf, he looks worth backing with the prospect of more to come. Silent Attack rates next best under Christophe Soumillon, whilst there may be some each-way value in the shape of Mailshot.
