Wyong racecourse is located 90km north of Sydney on the NSW Central Coast and is the home of the Wyong Race Club.

Racing in the Wyong district has been conducted since 1875 with the current Wyong racecourse built close to the business and shopping precinct in 1912.

Wyong racecourse is located on the eastern side of Wyong Railway Station that is serviced by inter-city express trains from Sydney and Newcastle.

Wyong racecourse is a tight circular track of 1790m circumference with a short home straight of 275m. However a feature of the course is the long straight chute that caters for race starts over distances from 1000m up to 1350m.

Wyong Race Club conducts around 20 race meetings each year with its feature meetings being the Wyong Gold Cup in September and Magic Millions race day in December.

Wyong racecourse has been acclaimed as one of the best racing surfaces in NSW and also boasts extensive training facilities utilised by more than 20 trainers.

Either late August or early September, the Wyong Cup is run. It is a Listed race run two weeks prior to the Newcastle Gold Cup and serves as the perfect lead up. Many horses have done the double. Chris Waller has an extraordinary record winning it six times since the year 2010.

On the same card the Mona Lisa Stakes is run for the mares. That race feeds into the G3 Tibbie Stakes at Broadmeadow.

The other feature race day at Wyong is the Magic Millions inspired 2yo & 3yo classics in December. The Club works in conjunction with the sales for an important qualifier for the big races at the Gold Coast in January.
