Star jockey Siggy Carr secured the full house of Tasmania’s feature cups when John Blacker’s former South Australian gelding Super Swoop powered his way to an emphatic win in the Cressy Chaff Cutters Jim Osborne Longford Cup on Saturday.

Brighton trainer John Luttrell targeted the Longford Cup for his in-form mare Encosta Fiorente over a month ago and on Saturday he is hoping his plan is realised and she can snare him his first success in the race.

Well-bred mare Encosta Fiorente could be aimed at a minor cup with the hope of progressing to one of the state’s major staying events following her game win in a benchmark 76 handicap over 2450 metres in Launceston on Wednesday night.
