Jockey John Marshall, winner of the 1999 Melbourne Cup on the Bart Cummings-trained Rogan Josh, has died aged 60.
Champion jockey John Marshall has died aged 60 from pancreatic cancer.
Sydney's premier jockey in 1987/88, Marshall had a long association with trainer Bart Cummings including multiple wins on Beau Zam and the 1999 Melbourne Cup on Rogan Josh.
He retired a year after winning the Cup and more recently took an avid interest in the riding career of his son Taylor.
