While veteran stayer Who Shot Thebarman is nearing the end of his career, it may not be over yet.

Trainer Chris Waller said before last Saturday's Zipping Classic at Sandown, the race would help decide the 10-year-old's future.

Who Shot Thebarman finished seventh of the eight runners but on Tuesday Waller said on Twitter nothing had been confirmed regarding the gelding's retirement.

"Thebarman has gone to the paddock as a happy, healthy and sound 10 year old and a decision on his future will be made in the next few days" Waller said.

The trainer accompanied his tweet with a video of Who Shot Thebarman frolicking in his spelling paddock.

The winner of the 2014 Auckland Cup and this year's Sydney Cup, Who Shot Thebarman has won more than $4.5 million.
