Having made an utter mess of his rivals to take out last weekend's Rosehill Guineas by seven lengths, star colt Anamoe is likely to be on the quick back up to headline Saturday's Group 1 Tancred Stakes (2400m).

In what was perhaps the three-year-old's most comprehensive showing to date, the son of Street Boss is expected to line-up in the $1.5 million feature in search of his fourth Group 1 success.

Off the back of his impressive win in the Australian Cup, the Edward Cummings-trained Duais has been nominated to return north, as well as placegetters Spanish Mission (Sydney debut) and the ever-reliable Think It Over- who for the first time in two years will be having his first run over 2000m.

Leading the nominations in the second Group 1 feature; the Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m), is the David Vandyke-trained Gypsy Goddess.

The unbeaten Queensland filly is atop of early markets for the $500,000 contest and is sure to face a fierce challenge, with Victorian based fillies Argentia , Mokulua and Barb Raider all nominated to make the trip north, after the latter's triumph in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1600m).

Champion trainer Chris Waller has once again nominated a competitive assemblage, with Fangirl, Hinge and Roots all likely to feature, as well as Pretty Amazing- who will be looking to add a fourth consecutive win to the tally.

As for the boys in the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes (2000m), it's the Victorians who once again attract the most amount of excitement from their nominations.

While first-up winner of the Australian Guineas Hitotsu is doubtful to take his place in the field, fellow Southern combatants Alegron, Can't Go Wrong and Elzamee are likely to accept, with the latter two on a quick back-up following their strong performances in the Group 2 Alister Clark (2040m), running second and fourth respectively.

Meanwhile in the other Group 2 event; the Emancipation Stakes (1500m), Victorian-based mare Annavisto  heads the nominations following her assertive first-up victory in the Group 3 Tressady Stakes (1400m).

After finding the line gamely for second and fourth in the Coolmore Classic over the same journey, Mirra Vision  and Promise Of Success are other intriguing nominations, as well as two-time Group 1 winner Hungry Heart  – who comes in second up from a fourth placed finish in the Apollo Stakes.

The remaining distinguished events on the 10-race card are made up of five Group 3's: The Doncaster Prelude (1500m), Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m), Neville Sellwood Stakes (2000m) and the Schweppervesence (1400m).

In what is sure to be another thrilling weekend of racing, predicted wet weather week will ensure Stakes Day will transpire on a rain affected Rosehill surface – which is currently rated a Heavy 8.

The rail is set to be out five metres the course entire.
