Jason Collett has been taken to hospital following a race day fall at Warwick Farm.

Top jockey Jason Collett has suffered a suspected collarbone injury just days after celebrating his fourth Group 1 win aboard Montefilia in the Ranvet Stakes. 

Collett was riding the Matthew Smith-trained Flambeur in the fourth race at Warwick Farm on Wednesday when the tiring horse stumbled and fell near the 300m mark, dislodging him from the saddle. 

Collett hit the ground heavily and was treated by medical staff on track before being taken to nearby Liverpool Hospital for further assessment. 

He remained conscious throughout the ordeal. 

"He's been taken to hospital and is going to obviously be observed and assessed," chief steward Marc Van Gestel said. 

"We don't know whether it's fractured or broken but he is being treated for a suspected collarbone injury." 

Collett has been booked for rides in nine of the 10 races at Rosehill on Saturday including the Anthony Cummings-trained Stray in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m). 

Meanwhile, Golden Slipper-winning trainer Gary Portelli has advised stewards that Sejardan is being treated by vets for a laceration to his near-hind foot and is in some doubt for the Group 1 Sires' Produce Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on Saturday week. 

Stewards have asked Portelli to keep them updated on the colt's progress.
