Jamie Kah has wasted no time in getting back into winning form riding a double with her first two rides following an overseas holiday.

After attending Royal Ascot before holidaying in the warm Mediterranean sun, Kah returned to a cold Sandown on Wednesday to quickly find winning form.

Victory on the Peter Moody-trained Boogie Dancer in the Ladbrokes Mates Mode Handicap (1300m), her first ride back, came about after Linda Meech was forced to forego the mount after falling ill.

The win was never in doubt for the $2.60 favourite who strode clear under Kah to win by 3-¾ lengths from Zasceed ($18).

"It's very cold, but I'm happy to be here for a winner," Kah told racing.com

Kah had not ridden since riding at Eagle Farm on June 11, departing on holidays the following day.

She said the extended break was needed while also returning fit and raring to go.

"I was able to relax and not have to set an alarm for alarm for once," Kah said.

"Coming back, I'm pretty fit. I did a few jump-outs on Monday, and I feel as good as gold.

"It's good to be back."

Kah said Boogie Dancer showed professionalism in the win on heavy ground, adding that the filly had learned a lot from her victory at Donald on June 26.

"I didn't know a lot about her before I jumped aboard," Kah said.

"But she's not one dimensional like she was at her last start, so it was nice to see her come home the way she did."

Kah's second winner came aboard the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Pacific Ruby who was sent out a $1.75 favourite in the Ladbrokes Live Betting Handicap (1400m).

She had three other rides at the meeting, coming closest onThe Awesome Son who was nosed out by Fengarada in the Ladbrokes Blended Bets Handicap (1800m).
