Champion jockey Damien Oliver has teamed with a new jockey manager following the disqualification of Mark Van Triet in July.

Rayan Moore, also the Racing Manager for Ballarat-based trainers Tony and Calvin McEvoy, has taken over following Van Triet's disqualification by Racing NSW Stewards for betting on races in NSW that riders he managed rode in.

Van Triet is disqualified until December forcing Oliver to find a new booking agent.

Oliver and Moore celebrated their first win as a team when Bookman was successful at Sandown last Wednesday.

Prior to working with the McEvoy's, Moore had served as Racing Manager for Lindsay Park primarily when David Hayes was in charge.

"I've known him since he was a little boy, ever since his dad (David Moore) was a racing journo and we worked a little bit together when we were both were working with Hayes'," Oliver said.

"Mark and I were looking for a new agent and his name came up and I thought he'd do a great job.

"He's across everything in racing and has worked in a lot of different areas. He knows a lot of people and is well respected."

Oliver will be hoping for a better day at the office in the weeks ahead after riding two seconds – Major Beel and Zoustyle – at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Moore has been able to secure the mount on Regal Power for Oliver in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on Saturday and aboard Showmanship in the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield the following week.

Regal Power won the All-Star Mile at Caulfield in March 2020 and is coming off a last start fourth behind Mr Brightside in the Group 2 P B Lawrence Stakes (1400m) last month.

Both gallopers are prepared by Danny O'Brien for leading Perth owner Bob Peters.
