The training combination have no short of seven runners on their home track including a pair of debutantes in the opening race of the day.

Despite contrasting price tags Jolly said there wasn't a lot between the pair who were purchased at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale, Splish Splash a $42,500 buy while Kalasec was purchased for $120,000.

"They've had a couple of jump-outs and are both nice horses,'' Jolly said.

"On the jump out you'd say Splish Splash was the pick of them, but I think Kalesec has probably improved a fair since then.

"There isn't a lot between both horses, and I am sure they'll both run well,'' he said.

Jolly was set to chase a Christmas Handicap win with Karacasu before they were forced to scratch the horse on Friday morning.

"He's got a bit of mucus in his airways, it's nothing major but will mean four days of antibiotics,'' Jolly said.

"He was fine up until Thursday. Jake (Toeroek) took him out for a gallop and said he coughed four times, so we scoped him yesterday and found the problem.

"He'll probably run next week, there is a race for him at Gawler and there is also the option of taking him to Flemington and running him down the straight,'' he said.
