Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott gave three of their carnival hopefuls a day out at Warwick Farm with Converge, Hawaii Five Oh and Kibou all stepping out in exhibition gallops.

Group 1 winner Converge (Adam Hyeronimus) had the measure of Hawaii Five Oh (James Mcdonald) in their workout, edging him out by a long head as they covered the 1000m in a sharp 57.08 seconds.

Converge is returning from a two-start winter campaign in Brisbane where he finished runner-up to Think About It in the Kingsford-Smith Cup and seventh to the same horse in the Stradbroke and Hyeronimus was pleased with how he stretched out.

"He was good. He's got that residual fitness from Queensland and he's coming along nicely," Hyeronimus said.

While Hawaii Five Oh was urged along in his hitout, Tulloch Lodge representative Neil Paine said that was expected.

"Hawaii Five Oh has never been a great worker, he's a bit of a loafer," Paine said.

"That's why he worked with Converge. Converge is a brilliant worker so he probably overshadowed 'Hawaii', but James (McDonald) said Hawaii really needed the hitout so he will improve from that.

"Converge is going along his merry way, he's a nice little horse and he worked well."

"It's all pluses."

Kibou galloped solo with Regan Bayliss in the saddle, covering 1000m in 1:01.37, and Paine confirmed all three horses would head to the barrier trials at Rosehill on Tuesday ahead of their resumptions at Randwick on September 16.
