Latrobe trainer Adam Trinder looks set to play a major role in some of the feature races over the summer carnival if the results from Wednesday night’s meeting in Launceston are any indication.

Trainer Yassy Nishitani thought enough of Kaytee Valiente to contemplate aiming him at some feature two-year-old races, but a sesamoid injury during his debut performance in early November last year ended any chance of that eventuating.

After a terrific night of racing to open the Launceston night season a week ago, racing returns this Wednesday evening for another eight-race program.
