Astute trainer Adam Trinder is no stranger to debuting smart two-year-olds in feature races and he was at it again in Hobart on Wednesday with well-bred youngster Bello Beau.

Talented three-year-old Warrior Prince ($4) broke through for his first win of the season when he outgunned the odds-on favourite Julius ($1.85) in a class three handicap over 1200m in Launceston on Wednesday night.

The countdown is on until the conclusion of the night racing season in Launceston and Wednesday night’s eight-race card is the second last for 2020/21 in this timeslot.

It’s rare that a horse trained in the north of the state has a superior record in Hobart to Launceston or Devonport but that’s currently the case for four-year-old mare Stefanidi.
