Jamie Kah has picked up the mount on debutante Tragara at Randwick.

A week after producing Queen Of The Ball to run her rivals off their feet in the Widden Stakes, Michael and Richard Freedman are set to unveil another talented juvenile at Randwick. 

Tragara, a flashy chestnut filly by Written Tycoon, will make her debut in the Lonhro Plate (1000m) on Saturday when she takes on unbeaten youngster Lady Laguna and Godolphin's impressive debut winner Plymstock. 

Michael Freedman has a healthy opinion of Tragara but cautioned she is a different type of filly to Queen Of The Ball, who is a more natural jump-and-run style of two-year-old. 

"Physically, she is built like a colt," Freedman said. 

"She is the complete opposite in type to Queen Of The Ball, who is a smaller, sharper type. This filly is a lot bigger and stands over a fair bit more ground. 

"Longer term, she could potentially end up racing over 1400 or maybe even a mile. But she has done a nice job so far at home." 

"She can run a nice race on Saturday and if she can take natural improvement from that, we can have a look at a few other options down the track." 

Tommy Berry rode Tragara in her two barrier trials but had a prior commitment to the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Cythera. 

Champion Victorian jockey Jamie Kah, who is in town to ride El Padrino in the $2 million Inglis Millennium, has picked up the mount and Freedman is happy to have her aboard. 

Tragara has drawn barrier five in the field of 10 and has been fitted with winkers for her debut. 

"She was just a little bit wayward and new in her trial the other day and I don't mind using winkers on these young horses from time to time, just to give them that bit more focus and bit more confidence," Freedman said. 

Freedman reported Queen Of The Ball had come through her Rosehill win in great order and they were warming towards a start in the Silver Slipper at Rosehill on February 19.
