Capital Cheval ($3.20 – $2.20 fav) proved his last start Hobart win was no fluke with a gutsy effort to make it two-in-a-row, scoring a narrow but tough win in the 1420m Class 1 in Launceston on Wednesday night.

Devonport-based apprentice Tayah Stalker made the most of her trip to Tuesday’s Hobart meeting with an all-the-way win on Reward For Rosie ($7-$17) for her boss Glenn Stevenson.

Punters will have to wait until the last race of the day but track specialist Square Donut appeals as the best bet on the nine-race card in Devonport on Sunday.
